Any idea what my teenager is up to?

This image shows a damaged USB cable placed on a stone or tile surface. One end of the cable has a standard USB-A connector, while the other end is cut open, exposing the internal wires. The red and black wires, along with some frayed shielding, are visible, indicating that the cable is no longer in its original working condition. The outer insulation has been removed or broken, leaving the inner components vulnerable.

Such a cable could pose safety risks if used improperly, as exposed wires may cause short circuits or electrical hazards. It may have been intentionally cut for repair, experimentation, or reuse in a small electronics project. However, without proper insulation or connectors, it is not safe for normal use and should either be repaired correctly or replaced with a new cable.
